Shibu Soren, a stalwart leader and founder of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), has passed away at the age of 81 due to kidney-related complications. Hemant Soren, the Jharkhand Chief Minister and his son, delivered an emotional tribute, describing him as a protective guardian for the state's tribal communities.
The former Jharkhand Chief Minister had been under medical care at Delhi's Sir Ganga Ram Hospital since June 19, under the supervision of Dr. A K Bhalla, Senior Consultant in Nephrology. His death was confirmed at 8:56 AM on Monday.
Amidst emotional scenes with party workers and supporters paying homage, Hemant Soren committed to continuing Shibu Soren's legacy. Known as 'Dishom Guruji,' Shibu Soren played a pivotal role in the creation of Jharkhand and led the JMM for an impressive 38 years.
