Left parties expressed condolences on Monday for the passing of Shibu Soren, the former Jharkhand chief minister renowned for his efforts to unite Adivasi communities and advocate for their rights.

Addressed to Soren's son, current Chief Minister Hemant Soren, CPI(M) General Secretary MA Baby highlighted Soren's legacy as a resilient advocate for tribal communities in a letter. Known respectfully as Guruji, Soren was celebrated for his commitment to uplifting the voices and dignity of Jharkhand's tribal people.

CPI General Secretary D Raja and other leaders also paid tribute, acknowledging Soren's pivotal role in establishing the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and shaping the state's identity, while condoling with the family and supporters.
