The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday sharply criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for allegedly implicating its leaders in false cases. A special court brought significant relief to AAP leader Satyendar Jain by accepting the CBI's closure report in a 2018 corruption investigation, citing no evidence of criminal activity.
In a statement following the court's decision, Jain recounted the emotional turmoil his family endured, highlighting the exhaustive CBI raids in 2019 that proved fruitless. Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP stalwarts questioned the fairness of the judicial process, stressing the emotional distress suffered by those wrongfully accused.
Kejriwal, in a post on X, emphasized that truth would eventually prevail in all cases against AAP leaders while slamming the BJP's alleged strategy of filing unfounded accusations. As the BJP rebutted, AAP leaders like Manish Sisodia and Saurabh Bharadwaj hailed the court's decision as vindication against politically motivated charges.
