Gadkari expressed concern over the political maneuvering where backwardness is being exploited as a political tool. He remarked, "Everyone claims to be backward," underlining the pervasive narrative that risks social fragmentation.
He further defended the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) against allegations of casteism, asserting its inclusive ethos and commitment to universal progress, irrespective of opposition.
