In a stern rebuttal to claims of international intervention, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh dismissed US President Donald Trump's assertion that a ceasefire was brokered in the Indo-Pak conflict. Speaking at the Hyderabad Liberation Day celebrations, Singh clarified that Operation Sindoor was not suspended due to third-party mediation.
Singh highlighted India's steadfast commitment to its sovereignty, mentioning significant military actions like the 2016 surgical strike, the 2019 Balakot airstrike, and this year's Operation Sindoor. He stated these operations underscore India's capability to assertively respond to threats without external influence.
The defence minister also drew parallels to historical events, pointing out past atrocities by Razakars and asserting that today's India is empowered to thwart such conspiracies. Singh concluded by affirming India's independence in crafting its destiny, free from international dictation.
