Amid political turbulence in Kerala, CPI(M) leader K J Shine has accused opposition figure V D Satheesan of having foreknowledge of defamatory social media attacks targeting her and MLA K N Unnikrishnan. Shine claims these attacks were orchestrated by CK Gopalakrishnan, affiliated with the Congress's social media efforts.

Satheesan, a senior Congress member, categorically denied these allegations, questioning the intentions behind dragging his name into the controversy. He urged the CPI(M) to investigate the source of these claims while highlighting previous instances of similar attacks on Congress leaders.

Meanwhile, Ernakulam District Congress Committee head Muhammad Shiyas distanced the party from the campaign against Shine and Unnikrishnan, accusing the CPI(M) of fabricating allegations—a claim that has further fueled the ongoing political friction.
