Sharad Pawar, president of NCP (SP), expressed dissatisfaction over alleged derogatory remarks made by BJP MLA Gopichand Padalkar, targeting senior leader Jayant Patil's parents. The remarks were made during a rally in Sangli district.
Pawar conveyed his concerns to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, stating that such comments don't align with the progressive nature of the state. Patil, the son of the late Congress veteran Rajaram Patil, has been a prominent figure in state politics.
Pawar, currently touring Kolhapur, made these remarks over a phone conversation with Fadnavis, urging him to address the issue. The NCP leader stressed the importance of maintaining respect and cultural values that Maharashtra is known for.
