The Congress party is preparing to refine its electoral strategy as it convenes the Working Committee meeting in the poll-sensitive state of Bihar on September 24. The gathering at Sadaqat Ashram in Patna will see notable party leaders, including President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, assemble to discuss pertinent state and national issues.
Krishna Allavaru, the party's state in-charge, announced the meet at a press briefing on Monday, emphasizing discussions on alleged 'vote theft,' rising crime, unemployment, and inflation afflicting Bihar. He criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his perceived inaction on these issues, equating his efforts to 'cheating' rather than hard work.
In other developments, Congress MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh expressed optimism regarding finalizing seat-sharing arrangements post-meeting, emphasizing a collective goal to defeat the BJP and Nitish Kumar's alliance. The Bihar Assembly elections are anticipated later this year, with both the NDA and the INDIA bloc poised for a significant electoral contest.
