On Thursday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached out to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, offering words of encouragement and a quick recovery. This initiative comes a day after Kharge underwent a pacemaker implant procedure.
The 83-year-old leader was admitted to Bengaluru's M S Ramaiah Hospital on Tuesday, and the operation took place the following day. His condition is reported to be stable, according to Priyank Kharge, Mallikarjun's son.
Following the procedure, Prime Minister Modi took to X to share his thoughts, stating, "Spoke to Kharge Ji. Enquired about his health and wished him a speedy recovery. Praying for his continued well-being and long life."
