Political tensions in West Bengal have escalated as BJP MLA Sankar Ghosh accused Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of exploiting a hospital visit for media attention. Ghosh, along with party MP Khagen Murmu, was injured in a mob attack in Jalpaiguri.
In a video statement from his hospital bed, Ghosh criticized Banerjee's visit to the medical facility, noting that she spent less than two minutes at Murmu's bedside, focusing on media coverage rather than genuine concern. Ghosh insists there was no communication with Murmu, as he is unable to speak.
Ghosh condemned Banerjee's actions as emblematic of her political strategies, accusing her of sending TMC supporters to disrupt BJP's efforts in flood-stricken areas. Despite the alleged theatrics, Ghosh asserted the BJP's unwavering commitment to the people of West Bengal.
