BJP's Daring Critique on Trinamool: Democracy at Stake in West Bengal

BJP's West Bengal unit chief, Samik Bhattacharya, made strong allegations against the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government on Saturday, describing it as a 'living fossil' on borrowed time. Bhattacharya claimed the TMC regime has severely undermined democracy and law enforcement, leading to an increase in political violence and social unrest.

According to Bhattacharya, the TMC's rule has resulted in an alarming rise in crimes, with 253 BJP members allegedly murdered post the 2021 elections, and numerous women facing violence. He further accused the TMC of exploiting democratic institutions, pointing to the disrespect shown to the governor and the control wielded over the assembly.

Bhattacharya highlighted the economic challenges under TMC's leadership, such as rising debt and declining business investments. He emphasized BJP's commitment to restoring investor confidence and urged the public to support their democratic restoration mission in the state.
