Congress MP and Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, has launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party, alleging that the ruling party is seeking to exert influence over the AIADMK in Tamil Nadu. Speaking at a rally, Gandhi accused Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of wielding similar control in Bihar, resulting in the removal of the state's Chief Minister.
Gandhi asserted that the BJP is attempting to establish a government in Tamil Nadu that would be subservient to its directives. However, he firmly stated that such control over the peoples' choice and governance in Tamil Nadu would not come to pass.
In response, BJP leader K Annamalai countered Gandhi's claims by highlighting a growing public sentiment in favor of change. He predicted a sweeping victory for the NDA, claiming that voters are disillusioned with the DMK's performance. Annamalai stressed that the Tamil Nadu electorate is now leaning towards the NDA for effective governance.
