On Monday, the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, kicked off her six-day tour of Himachal Pradesh by landing in Shimla. The President's agenda includes visits to the significant Atal Tunnel and Palampur Agriculture University.
Upon her arrival at the Kalyani helipad in Chharabra, 14 kilometers from Shimla, Murmu was received by Governor Kavinder Gupta and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu amidst a gathering of dignitaries. Her residence for the visit will be Rashtrapati Niwas, Mashobra.
To ensure a secure and smooth visit, about 1,000 police personnel have been deployed across Shimla, with the city divided into three sectors to effectively manage traffic, as explained by officials.
