R Sabarinathan's Triumph: A New Political Dawn in Virugambakkam

R Sabarinathan, at just 30 years old, has energised the political landscape in Virugambakkam by capturing a decisive victory in the assembly constituency elections, securing 27,086 more votes than his closest competitor.

Running on a Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) ticket, Sabarinathan, son of actor-politician Vijay's trusted driver and assistant Rajendran, attributed his success to the support of Vijay, declaring, 'He has put an end to DMK.'

The young politician gained significant attention after an emotional campaign appearance and has become a pivotal figure in Tamil Nadu politics, navigating a seat often contested by multiple parties over the last decade.
