Iran's Grievance: A Conflict Impacting Global Supply Chains

As the West Asia conflict wreaks havoc on global supply chains, a senior Iranian official has voiced displeasure over the adverse effects experienced by India and other nations. In a recent interview, Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei placed the blame squarely on the actions of the United States and Israel.

Baghaei asserted that these countries initiated the conflict and continue to perpetuate it, resulting in significant global ramifications. Highlighting Tehran's perspective, he emphasized that Iran was acting within its legal rights under international law to respond to perceived aggressors utilizing Persian Gulf states for attacks on Iran.

Despite being a coastal state heavily reliant on the Strait of Hormuz, Iran seeks stability in the region. However, Baghaei warned that the United States and Israel should be held accountable by the international community for the ongoing economic disturbances stemming from the conflict.
