In a historic win for Assam, the NDA government, led by the BJP, has assumed office for the third consecutive term. This marks a significant political victory for Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who takes office for the second time in a row.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his congratulations to Sarma, praising his admirable administrative efforts and expressing optimism for future advancements under his leadership. "A great day for Assam! Congratulations to Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma Ji on taking oath," Modi wrote on social media.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by notable figures like Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and other BJP leaders. With an impressive 102 seats secured in the 126-member assembly, including 82 by the BJP alone, the NDA's commanding presence in Assam is set to continue.
