Ramaphosa's Resilience: ANC Backs President Amid 'Farmgate' Scandal
The African National Congress's National Executive Committee has expressed full support for President Cyril Ramaphosa amidst the 'Farmgate' scandal, where undisclosed foreign currency was found at his ranch. Despite impeachment calls, Ramaphosa is steadfast, with analysts predicting his survival through the parliamentary processes.
South Africa's African National Congress (ANC) has reaffirmed its support for President Cyril Ramaphosa, despite the ongoing 'Farmgate' scandal, during which substantial foreign currency was purportedly stolen from his ranch.
According to Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula, the ANC's National Executive Committee met to reinforce its backing and dismissed talks of Ramaphosa stepping down.
Amid revived impeachment proceedings, the constitutional court has ordered a parliamentary committee to further investigate the allegations. Analysts believe Ramaphosa, who denies any misconduct, will withstand the political turbulence.
