Nitin Nabin, the national president of the BJP, commenced a three-day visit to Uttarakhand on Thursday, aiming to evaluate the party's preparations ahead of the assembly elections scheduled for 2027.
Upon arrival at Jolly Grant airport, he was welcomed by key political figures, including Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt. The hospitality extended throughout his route was marked by traditional welcomes from youth and women of the party.
Over the course of his stay, Nabin will engage in pivotal discussions with Uttarakhand's BJP core committee and state cabinet ministers to assess their performance. Additionally, he plans to visit the late former chief minister Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri's residence to pay his respects.
The trip includes cultural engagements, such as participating in the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan Swargashram in Rishikesh, followed by interactions with seers and a dinner with the spiritual community at the ashram.
