The U.S. military has firmly denied reports from Iranian state television alleging that a U.S. aircraft was downed in the Bushehr region of Iran.
The Iranian broadcast on Friday quoted Jam governor Masoud Tangestani as saying an American aircraft was shot down, but the U.S. Central Command, via a post on X, confirmed that no such incident took place.
Officials maintain that all U.S. air assets remain accounted for, disputing the Iranian claims and maintaining operational transparency.
