Kewal Singh Dhillon, the Punjab BJP president, recently praised his party's performance in local civic elections while accusing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of exploiting official resources during the polls. He noted that the BJP is focused on preparing for the 2027 state assembly elections, aiming to replicate its electoral success in West Bengal in Punjab.
Dhillon emphasized that the BJP is committed to addressing issues in the state, criticizing the AAP for failing to maintain law and order and addressing economic concerns. He asserted that the people of Punjab would respond to these shortcomings in the next assembly elections, ensuring the BJP's return to power.
On the agricultural front, Dhillon promised a shift away from the traditional paddy-wheat cycle, pledging guaranteed minimum support prices for a broader range of crops. This initiative, he suggested, would align with governmental financial support and further the state's agricultural diversity. He also highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen the party's organizational base and outlined strategic plans to secure electoral victory.
During his visit to Hoshiarpur, Dhillon reaffirmed the BJP's strategic focus, mentioning ongoing dialogues with senior party leaders to shape the political roadmap. He also emphasized the need to address Punjab's challenges, such as drug proliferation and financial instability, signifying the BJP's intent to restore governance and trust within the state.
