On Thursday, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu received accolades symbolized by two trophies, honoring the state's remarkable achievements in infrastructure development and road safety. Secretary of the Public Works Department, along with Managing Director of Himachal Pradesh Road and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (HPRIDCL), Abhishek Jain, presented these accolades.

Notably, HPRIDCL earned the Shining Star in the 2024 iRAP Gary Liddle Memorial Trophy in Marrakech, Morocco. Awarded globally, this recognition goes to leading Road Authorities for strenuous efforts in eliminating high-risk roads. Additionally, Shimla Smart City Limited was the proud recipient of the Smart Cities India Award-2025 for 'Innovation in Urban Mobility' due to the construction of the Dhalli tunnel and its surrounding rotary junction, effectively easing traffic congestion in Shimla.

Expressing his pride, CM Sukhu congratulated the involved officers and employees and encouraged continuous commitment to solving Shimla's urban issues. Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh emphasized road safety as a state priority, celebrating the notable decline in road accidents and fatalities. The state's methodical and evidence-based safety measures have significantly improved road safety, especially along crucial state corridors.
