In a devastating turn of events, two people lost their lives due to lightning strikes as unseasonal rains swept across parts of Marathwada. The tragic incidents were confirmed by a revenue department official on Monday.
The fatalities, identified as Digambar Gaikwad, aged 59, and Rahul Jadhav, aged 22, occurred on Sunday in Beed and Latur districts, respectively. Both individuals were unfortunate victims of sudden lightning strikes amid unexpected weather conditions.
The official further reported that the adverse weather also claimed the lives of cattle in Beed and Nanded districts, highlighting the wider impact of these unpredictable atmospheric changes.
