Tragic House Collapse Claims Family in Uttarkashi
Four family members, including two children, were tragically killed in Uttarkashi when the wall of their home collapsed. The collapse occurred in the early morning in Mori's Gujjar colony. Emergency response teams recovered the bodies, and authorities suspect rainfall or structural weakness caused the collapse.

Tragedy struck early Friday morning in Uttarkashi district when four members of a family lost their lives due to a wall collapse in their home. The incident occurred at 2 am in Gujjar colony within the revenue village of Odata, located in the Mori area.
According to the Uttarkashi District Disaster Management Office, the family was asleep when the collapse happened. Rescue teams from the administration and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) promptly reached the site, which is situated about one km above the main road, to conduct search and relief operations.
All four bodies, identified as Ghulam Hussain (26), his wife Rukma Khatoon (23), their son Abid (3), and their ten-month-old daughter Salma, were recovered from the debris. Jabbar Singh Aswal, Mori's revenue police officer, suggested that the recent rains or the house's structural weakness might have contributed to the collapse.
