A dangerous landslide has disrupted the new track leading to the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district. The incident, triggered by torrential rains, resulted in the suspension of the battery car service, officials have confirmed.

While no injuries were reported, authorities have redirected the pilgrimage via the old route to ensure it continues smoothly. The landslide occurred near the Satya viewpoint along the Himkoti route without any pilgrims present at the time.

In response, the shrine board has rapidly mobilized its workforce and equipment to clear the debris, which occupies a stretch over 30 feet in area, to restore normalcy.
