Himachal Pradesh, devastated by recent cloudbursts and landslides, is witnessing a swift response from the Central Government. On Thursday, BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda revealed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah dispatched central teams to evaluate the destruction just 20 days post-calamity.

In light of the torrential rains, Shah mobilized Air Force helicopters, paired with NDRF and ITBP teams, for immediate rescue operations. Nadda assured that the Union government pledges unwavering support to the state in its hour of need, further establishing multi-sectoral teams to study the causes of frequent natural disasters.

Financial aid has been substantive, with the release of Rs 2,006 crore for restoration. Records show 77 casualties, 34 missing individuals, and extensive regional damage since monsoon onset, revealing the gravity of the natural havoc faced by Himachal Pradesh.
