In a chilling turn of events, leopard attacks in Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich and Gorakhpur districts have left residents in a state of fear. A teenage girl, Sanjana, tragically lost her life to one of these ferocious animals while in her agricultural fields.
The gruesome incident occurred as Sanjana was suddenly attacked and mauled to death by a leopard lurking in the bushes. Despite villagers' swift intervention, the young girl's injuries proved fatal, and she was declared dead upon arrival at a local hospital.
Meanwhile, in the Gorakhpur district, another leopard caused serious injuries to Geeta Devi, who is now receiving medical attention. Authorities, including District Forest Officer Vikas Yadav, urge residents to stay indoors, bolstering efforts to track and capture the rogue leopards.
