Tree Fall Incident: Two Injured as Tree Topples Amidst Heavy Rains in Thane

Two individuals sustained injuries on Tuesday night when a tree collapsed in Thane city amidst severe rainfall, as reported by municipal authorities.
The mishap occurred near Hyde Park in Thane (West) at approximately 9:05 pm, according to officials.
Yasin Tadvi, head of the Disaster Management Cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation, stated, "We were alerted about the tree fall at 9:05 pm. Our teams from the Disaster Management Cell, Tree Authority Department, along with fire brigade personnel, promptly responded." Both victims, Harshad Suresh Lad (33) with a leg injury and Nagesh Dadarao Suryavanshi (36) who suffered blunt force trauma, were quickly hospitalized.
The fallen tree, already dead and dry, was swiftly cleared to avoid further risks and inconvenience. "Traffic has resumed normally," an official confirmed. Given the conditions, Tadvi cautioned residents to stay alert during inclement weather.
