The Odisha government has announced an ambitious plan to plant 75 lakh saplings on Wednesday to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday, according to an official statement.
The initiative will be coordinated by Additional Chief Secretary of Forest Satyabrat Sahu and overseen with the precision of an electoral campaign.
Involving various departments including Forest, Panchayati Raj, Industries, and Agriculture, over 25 lakh participants ranging from students to volunteers will contribute to this massive greening effort, urged to document their participation through selfies on social media.
