In a tragic incident, two laborers lost their lives after inhaling toxic gases while cleaning a sewer tank in the Jhotwara area. Officials confirmed the fatalities on Friday.
Sanitation workers' organizations have blamed contractor negligence for the deaths, prompting an investigation by authorities to determine the cause.
The victims, identified as Ajay and Rambabu, were residents of Purani Basti and Bani Park, respectively. Despite quick intervention by the police, both were declared dead at the hospital, with a post-mortem scheduled for Saturday.
