In a tragic incident, four members of the Badigera family lost their lives when the roof of their old rented house gave way during a severe storm in Vijayapura district.
The victims were a couple, Gurunath and Jyoti Badigera, and their two children, ages 13 and 9. The family was residing in the rented accommodation while their home was under renovation.
Emergency teams promptly arrived at the scene to conduct rescue operations, but efforts to save the family were in vain. An investigation by local authorities is currently underway to determine the cause of the collapse.
