Dadu, Pakistan experienced an extreme temperature peak of 51.5 degrees Celsius, breaking its previous 2016 record. The Sindh province, including other areas like Jacobabad and Mohenjodaro, also faced severe heat, recording temperatures over 50 degrees Celsius.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department predicts continuing heat, urging residents to protect themselves, especially children and the elderly. Pakistan's vulnerability to climate change exacerbates these conditions, with recent extremes also seen in Karachi, where temperatures soared to 44 degrees Celsius earlier this month.
