PSL Shifts Venue to UAE Amidst Security Concerns

In an unexpected development, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Friday that the remaining fixtures of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be relocated to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This decision impacts the last eight matches initially set to take place in Rawalpindi, Multan, and Lahore.

PCB Chair Mohsin Naqvi expressed deep regret over the relocation, noting that Pakistani cricket fans would miss the opportunity to witness the matches in their home stadiums. He voiced the board's longstanding position that sports should remain independent of political disputes.

The relocation decision follows an incident described by Naqvi as a 'dangerous Indian act' targeting the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, purportedly aimed at disrupting the ongoing PSL.
