Shukri Conrad: Leading South Africa's Cricket Renaissance
Shukri Conrad has been appointed South Africa's new limited overs coach. He previously led the team to the World Test Championship final and replaces Rob Walter. Under his guidance, South African cricket aims to build its white-ball success. South Africa will co-host the 2027 World Cup with Zimbabwe and Namibia.

South Africa has announced that Shukri Conrad will take over as their limited overs coach, following his successful stint leading the national team to the World Test Championship final. Conrad steps in for Rob Walter, who resigned for personal reasons last month.
In a statement, Conrad expressed his excitement about the new challenge, calling his coaching role "the greatest privilege of my cricket journey." He highlighted South Africa's strength in the white-ball format and expressed confidence in achieving remarkable success.
With South Africa set to co-host the 2027 World Cup with Zimbabwe and Namibia, Conrad's leadership comes at a crucial time. His previous achievements include reaching the T20 World Cup final and advancing to the semi-finals of the recent World Cup and ICC Champions Trophy. South Africa's upcoming commitments include a tri-series in Zimbabwe, followed by tours of Australia, England, and India later this year.
