During a post-match press conference on day one, Jaiswal expressed his joy, stating, "I enjoy whenever I make centuries, I love it. But there are some special moments, first is first always." The left-handed opener joined the illustrious company of former Indian greats like Saurav Ganguly, Vijay Manjrekar, Sandeep Patil, and Murali Vijay who have also scored Test tons in their inaugural innings on English soil.
