Hockey India and its member units celebrated the 77th Olympic Day with a series of sporting events and activities nationwide. The aim was to promote Olympic values such as sportsmanship and camaraderie through friendly tournaments, exhibition matches, fitness sessions, and more. According to a press release from Hockey India, these events highlighted the significance of incorporating physical activity into daily life for people of all backgrounds.

Various member units, including Assam Hockey, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Hockey, Hockey Arunachal, Hockey Mizoram, Chhattisgarh Hockey, and Hockey Jharkhand, organized exhibitions and tournaments. Special events like poster-making competitions and plantation drives also took place, underscoring the spirit of the Olympic movement. Odisha's Naval Tata Hockey Academy contributed with a special lunch with Olympians and a quiz competition.

Olympic Day, celebrated on June 23, marks the anniversary of the modern Olympic Games. Its goal is global sports participation, irrespective of age or ability, aligning with the IOC's Let's Move initiative encouraging daily physical activity. Hockey India President Dr. Dilip Tirkey emphasized the day's focus on inclusivity and unity through sports activities.
