The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sanctioned a staggering budget of 18.30 billion rupees for the current financial period. However, the board has not yet disclosed projected expenditures or anticipated revenues for 2025/26.
Last year witnessed substantial financial outlay, with expenses for renovating key stadiums in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi nearly matching this current budget. During a meeting in Lahore, the Board of Governors gave a nod to this budget and expressed satisfaction with the previous year's expenditures.
The board is set on annually rewarding outstanding regional cricket associations and intensifying staff performance oversight. In light of recent achievements, the PCB hailed the Pakistan Super League season, which recorded a dramatic 647.25% surge in live stream views, surpassing the viewership benchmark of the Indian Premier League.
