The Argentina Grand Prix, which has been absent from the MotoGP calendar, is slated to make a comeback in 2027 at a newly-renovated venue near Buenos Aires. This marks a significant shift from its previous location at Termas de Rio Hondo.
MotoGP announced that the historic Autodromo Oscar y Juan Galvez, a site rich with motorsport history, will undergo extensive renovations to host this prestigious event. The renovation plans include updates to the track, pits, paddock, and safety zones, integrating cutting-edge technology to meet modern standards.
"Starting in October, we will undertake a comprehensive renovation of the circuit, aiming to ready it for top-tier international competition," said Jorge Macri, chief of government of Buenos Aires. The 2027 race is expected to attract around 150,000 spectators, offering fans unparalleled excitement and entertainment.
