Unexpectedly, Indian left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed has concluded his engagement with Essex after only two appearance in first-class matches. Originally set for a two-month tenure, the pace bowler cited personal reasons for cutting short his stay.
Essex, expressing disappointment, supported Khaleel's personal decision and appreciated his, albeit brief, contributions on the field. His signing in June had generated anticipation following an impressive spell for India A against England Lions.
The early departure leaves Essex with fewer options ahead of the concluding matches of their season, which he was initially expected to bolster till September-end, including potential participation in the One-Day Cup.
