Indian Teams Poised for Glory at Asia Rugby U20 Championship

Bengal's Sumit Kumar Roy and Rajasthan's Bhumika Shukla will helm the Indian squads at the Asia Rugby Emirates U20 7s Championship 2025. Scheduled for August 9 and 10 in Rajgir, Bihar, this event will serve as a platform for emerging rugby stars.

The men's category features teams from India, China, UAE, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia, while Nepal steps in for Malaysia in the women's category. The selection followed rigorous training at a national coaching camp in Kolkata.

Indian Rugby Football Union President, Rahul Bose, described the tournament as pivotal for players' futures. The occasion marks the first time since 2022 that both Indian U20 teams will compete together regionally.
