Dhruv Jurel Leads Central Zone in Duleep Trophy Clash

Dhruv Jurel has been named captain of the Central Zone team for the upcoming Duleep Trophy, starting August 28 in Bengaluru. The decision comes following Jurel's impressive performance during India's tour of England.

Central Zone's squad features a potent mix of seasoned players, including left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav, returning to action after not playing in the recent five-Test series. The pace attack is headlined by Khaleel Ahmed, marking his return following a brief county stint with Essex, alongside Deepak Chahar, who has recovered from an IPL injury.

Vidarbha's Yash Rathod, the leading run-scorer in the last Ranji Trophy, enhances the batting lineup, with Danish Malewar also rewarded for his exceptional performance. Usman Ghani, who guided Vidarbha to Ranji success, assumes the role of head coach for the squad.
