Indian boxing sensation Jaismine Lamboria received a hero's welcome upon returning home after capturing gold at the 2025 World Boxing Championship in Liverpool. The championship, held from September 4-14, marked a significant achievement in Lamboria's career, as she triumphed over a Polish opponent, celebrated for securing silver at the Paris Olympics.

Reflecting on her path to victory, Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Lamboria emphasized the crucial role played by her growing confidence and unwavering support from the Indian Army and family members, who also serve as her coaches. She recalled her journey beginning in 2015-16, with her family's trust fueling her ambition.

Looking ahead, Lamboria plans to shortly resume her training to prepare for future challenges. She will have a brief stay at home before returning to camp in early October, with aspirations of delivering her best performances. In related news, fellow Indian boxer Pooja Rani boasted a bronze medal win at the same championship, gearing up for the World Cup final in November.
