In a landmark event for Indian sports, the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) unveiled exquisitely designed medals for the upcoming 2025 World Para Athletics Championships. Set to run from September 27 to October 5, New Delhi will host over 2,200 para-athletes from 104 countries, presenting 186 medals—making it the largest para-sport gathering on Indian soil.

The medals, embodying India's cultural richness, feature traditional motifs and para-athletic symbols such as a wheelchair racer and a discus thrower. The reverse side reflects accessibility with Braille translations, a lotus-inspired pattern, and geometric details—all tied together with a striking blue ribbon. This design underscores the values of culture, inclusivity, and athletic accomplishment.

At the unveiling event, a spirited anthem titled 'Udaan Bhar' was introduced, featuring Indian athletes in a testament to their skill and determination. PCI President Devendra Jhajharia described the unveiling as the start of a historic journey, poised to showcase India's prowess in hosting a world-class event that embraces inclusivity and resilience.
