Max Verstappen Takes a Race-by-Race Approach in Bid for Fifth Title
Max Verstappen is focusing on a race-by-race strategy, undeterred by his current 69-point deficit against Oscar Piastri in the championship standings. Although enjoying recent victories, Verstappen is relaxed, finding pleasure in racing regardless of the ultimate outcome. He's keen on car improvements and further competitive finishes.

Max Verstappen is maintaining a calm, race-by-race approach to the season, even as talk swirls about a possible fifth consecutive world title for Red Bull. Despite his impressive victories in Italy and Azerbaijan, Verstappen trails championship leader Oscar Piastri by 69 points. Lando Norris, Piastri's McLaren teammate, also holds a notable lead.
Verstappen, while acknowledging the sizeable points gap, remains pressure-free. "From my side, I just see it as a race-by-race thing," he commented, noting that McLaren's dominance this season is unlikely to change swiftly. Verstappen is committed to enjoying every race and his performance in Formula 1.
The Dutchman is particularly cautious about tracks like Singapore, which may not align with his car's strengths despite recent upgrades. Last year's runner-up finish in Singapore was distant from victory, but Verstappen remains optimistic about improvements. He's focused more on enjoying progress than stressing over championship results.
