In a bid to strengthen India's racquet sports ecosystem, Yonex Sunrise India conducted a successful stringing workshop on Tuesday in Mumbai. The event, held at the Goregaon Sports Club, attracted over 80 stringing professionals from Maharashtra and Gujarat, emphasizing the rising interest in professional racquet stringing in India.
The workshop was spearheaded by renowned expert Tim Willis, Head Stringer and Supervisor of the Yonex Stringing Team. Participants received hands-on training in advanced racquet stringing techniques, focusing on machine precision, player-specific needs, and international tournament standards. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between grassroots knowledge and global best practices.
Attendees were introduced to Yonex Precision 9 and Precision 5.2 stringing machines, akin to those used in leading international tournaments. This workshop is part of Yonex Sunrise India's broader vision to contribute to the sport's development by investing in technical ecosystems and encouraging long-term skill growth.
