Bengaluru's 19-year-old tennis sensation, Kriish Tyagi, saw his inspiring run at the Karnataka Open ATP Challenger halted in the semifinals by Australia's Philip Sekulic on Friday.

Tyagi had previously stunned the tournament by defeating World No. 328, Hamish Stewart, in a dramatic quarterfinal upset. However, the experienced Sekulic, seeded fourth, proved a challenge too steep, dismantling Tyagi 6-0, 6-2.

Sekulic's impressive performance sets the stage for a final showdown against top seed American Keegan Smith, who overcame Belarusian Ilya Ivashka. In doubles, the Indian pair of Niki Kaliyanda Poonacha and Saketh Myneni advanced to the final.
