Indian Ultra Runners Dominate at Asia-Oceania Championships

In a remarkable display of endurance and skill, Indian ultra runners secured the top spots at the IAU 24H Asia and Oceania Championship held in Hirosaki, Japan. The men's team clinched the gold medal with a new record, while the women achieved bronze.

Key performer Amar Singh Devanda clinched the men's individual gold after completing an impressive 282.881 km, setting a new national benchmark. His teammates Geeno Antony and Saurav Kumar Ranjan followed with silver and bronze medals, respectively. The men's team's total distance of 815.833 km shattered the previous Asia-Oceania record, cementing their supremacy.

In the women's category, the Indian team displayed commendable tenacity to finish third. Tenzin Dolma emerged as a standout, covering 228.939 km and setting a national record, highlighting her journey from a remote village to international success.
