Leadership Transition at Switch Automotive: A New Era Begins
Switch Automotive Mobility, part of Hinduja Group, announced the resignation of CEO S Mahesh Babu, effective August 31. Ganesh Mani, COO of Ashok Leyland, will assume the CEO role from September 1. The transition aligns with Switch India's strategy to enhance efficiency and focus on electric vehicle growth.

In a significant leadership transition, Switch Automotive Mobility, Hinduja Group's electric vehicle subsidiary, announced that CEO S Mahesh Babu will step down at the end of August. Babu, who took the helm in November 2022, leaves as Switch India prepares to scale its operations.
Ganesh Mani, currently the Chief Operating Officer at Ashok Leyland, will take on the additional role of CEO at Switch Automotive from September 1. Dheeraj G Hinduja, Chairman of Switch Mobility, praised Babu for his contributions, highlighting the company's achievement of EBITDA break-even in FY25.
The strategic shift aims to further leverage Ashok Leyland's strengths to optimize costs and bolster the development of battery electric buses and light commercial vehicles. Mani's leadership is expected to guide Switch India through its next phase of profitable growth.
