HMD Revolutionizes Smartphones with AI-Powered Vibe 2 5G Launch

HMD is poised to unveil its Vibe 2 5G smartphone later this month. The device will be the first to feature Sarvam AI, India's government-backed AI platform, according to Ravi Kunwar, Vice President of HMD India's APAC region. The launch aims to establish a significant market presence in the smartphone sector.
Kunwar disclosed that Vibe 2 5G will be exclusively available through Flipkart. The incorporation of Sarvam AI, which supports 13 languages, is designed to democratize AI technology in India. HMD's strategy focuses on reaching a broad audience, including smaller towns and first-time smartphone users.
Anticipating a threefold increase in sales over its predecessor, HMD plans to position Vibe 2 5G at a competitive price point. Despite rising smartphone costs, the company aims to appeal to first-time buyers, feature phone upgraders, and the youth market sectors like Gen Z and Millennials.
