Blue Star Ltd Reports Strong Fiscal Growth, Eyes Future Expansion

Revenue grew by 20.77% driven by strong demand in key segments, despite a decline in professional electronics. A final dividend and leadership reappointment were also announced.

Blue Star Ltd, a major player in the air conditioning and commercial refrigeration industry, reported a substantial 21.47% rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 194 crore for the March quarter. The robust growth was spearheaded by the company's room air-conditioner and project business divisions.
According to Blue Star Ltd's recent regulatory filing, revenues increased 20.77% to reach Rs 4,018.96 crore, compared to Rs 3,327.77 crore in the same period last year. Total expenses saw a 21.34% increase, amounting to Rs 3,793.73 crore. The electro-mechanical projects and commercial air conditioning systems segment alone drew in Rs 1,968.17 crore, marking a 30.6% increase.
Despite the overall positive performance, Blue Star's professional electronics and industrial systems business recorded a decline in revenue by 19.18% to Rs 90.56 crore. As the fiscal year came to a close, net profits totalled Rs 591.28 crore. The company also announced a final dividend and reappointment of Vir S Advani as Chairman & Managing Director.
