A devastating road accident occurred on Wednesday in Punjab's Patiala district, where an SUV collided with a truck on the Samana-Patiala road. Police reported that the vehicle was returning from school when the collision resulted in the tragic deaths of six children and the driver.
The deceased children were aged between 12 and 13 years. Out of the nine children in the vehicle, one was critically injured according to police sources. The SUV involved in the crash was significantly damaged as a result of the collision.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of lives. Similarly, Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal offered his condolences, wishing for the recovery of the injured. Investigations into the accident are ongoing as the community mourns the tragedy.
